Voices... What's Your Story?

You don't have to be a writer. You don't have to know where to begin. Give me 15 minutes, a notebook and something to write with.

I'll guide you through a few simple prompts to help you get the experiences, ideas and stories already inside your head onto paper.

START THE FREE 15-MINUTE WORKSHOP ↓

No preparation. No writing experience. Just start.

Look What You Just Started.

What you wrote doesn't have to be perfect.

It could become a business story, a member spotlight, an article, a podcast conversation, a chapter or maybe even the beginning of a book.

You don't have to decide that today.

For now, you've done the most important thing:

You've started.

This Starter Kit was originally created for the Windsor, Colorado Voices of the Chamber community project. Rather than let a good resource sit on the shelf, I'm upcycling it here for anyone who wants a little more help finding and shaping their story.

If you're part of the Windsor project, everything you need to continue is right here. And if this has you thinking, “I'd love to bring something like Voices to my community,” then I'd love to hear from you.

Reach out and let's explore what Voices could look like for you.

Download your free Member Spotlight Starter Kit below for additional prompts and guidance:

  • A simple one-page worksheet that walks you through your story step by step
  • Six writing prompts to help you find the words (even if you're not a writer)
  • Photo tips so your image looks great in print
  • Instructions for submitting your story to be included in the Windsor Voices edition
  • Both in person and online storytelling workshops will be announced soon for members who would like additional support shaping and sharing their story.

Take 15 minutes to complete. No writing experience needed.

So, What Is Voices of the Chamber?

Voices of the Chamber began with one simple belief: everyone has a story worth telling.

We're creating opportunities for Chamber members to discover those stories and decide what they'd like to do with them next.

Some may become member spotlights.
Some may become podcast conversations.
Some may become articles or books.

And some may simply help someone finally put an important part of their story into words.

Hi, I'm Vicki Conley.

I help chamber members and business owners share their stories in a way that actually gets seen and remembered. I've been helping people publish their ideas for years and I believe every single person in this chamber has a story worth telling.

The Voices of the Chamber project is one of my favorite things I've ever created because it's not about me. It's about you all.

I look forward to helping you with your story.
